OWLS are a hoot: QR Codes

Folder Box Makeover

I got this idea last year when the Media Specialist at our school was giving away these boring and plain boxes.  I thought to myself, "I could really sass these up and use them!".  So, I took them and bought some fun stationary paper from Michael's and went to town.

First, go to your local store (Target, Wal-Mart) and go to the school supplies section.  Find the cheap $.50 flimsy folder section and you will probably find a box they are smashed into.  You want that box! The best time to gather these boxes is during Back to School season.  Teachers buy these brad folders like CRAZY! Ask a store worker if you can have the empty ones.

Road Trip Through Europe

Road Trip Through Europe Activity

Take a road trip through Europe by having your students complete this activity.  Use this activity as an extension when teaching about the geography of Europe.  Students are to use their geography skills and critical thinking skills by choosing (6) countries to visit, draw the map of each country, label the capital city and a major city, and then write about how they will visit the rest of the countries (car, train, boat).
